Behavioral Health Equity Across Maryland (BHEAM)

Accessible, compassionate support for the Spanish-speaking immigrant community.

From past trauma to food insecurity and social isolation, Spanish-speaking Latinos in Maryland face hardships and stressors that increase their risk for mental health disorders and unhealthy substance use.

In addition, some immigrants are unable to access health insurance as a result of their immigration status.

BHEAM is here to help.
We offer comprehensive behavioral health services all in Spanish, with culturally competent care at no cost to the client:
Assessment
Therapy
Support Groups
Case Management
Medication

“BHEAM has been a tremendous resource to our community at Helping Up Mission through the support for peer recovery staffing and vital access to behavioral health resources for those not eligible for insurance or public social services.”
